Dispose of it correctly. Keep materials in the loop.
Please dispose of our packaging completely empty, separated by material and in line with local rules, so that valuable raw materials stay in the loop and can be reused.
After use comes recycling.
We already make extensive use of recycled plastics in the design of our products. We want to continue consistently along this path – aiming not only to comply with regulatory developments but to build new requirements into our packaging solutions early on.
For our plastic films we aim for a recycled content of at least 30 per cent. Where it makes sense technically and in terms of quality, we want to go further and increase the share of recycled raw materials. This reduces the need for newly produced plastic and lets us gain early experience with materials that will become even more important in future.
To this end we follow new materials, technologies and recycling solutions and work closely with suppliers, customers and specialist partners. Our aim: not to develop our packaging only once new requirements apply, but to think about tomorrow’s requirements today wherever possible.
The quality and protection of our products are very important to us – and that includes suitable, carefully designed packaging. At the same time, we question how much packaging is really necessary.
Our aim is to reduce the use of materials to the essentials and to design packaging so that resources are used as efficiently as possible. After all, the best resource is the one that is never needed.
Where packaging cannot be avoided, we make sure to choose materials sensibly and ensure good recyclability. We also know that recycling has its limits: materials cannot be reused indefinitely without a loss of quality.
That is why we follow a clear principle: avoid and reduce wherever possible – and use materials responsibly wherever packaging is necessary.

Plastic.
Why plastic at all? Plastic packaging offers important functional advantages: among other things, it protects our products from moisture and contamination and helps preserve their quality during storage and transport.
We already use films made partly from recycled plastic – some with a recycled content of up to 80 %. In addition, the films we use meet the requirements for high recyclability under the minimum standard for assessing the recyclability of packaging subject to system participation under Section 21 (3) of the German Packaging Act (VerpackG).
After use, the films can be disposed of through the designated collection systems (in Germany, e.g. the yellow bin or yellow bag) and then fed into the recycling process.

Cardboard.
We value the responsible use of resources. That is why, wherever it makes sense and is technically possible, we also use cardboard as a packaging material.
Cardboard packaging consists mainly of paper fibres that can be obtained from renewable raw materials. Paper and cardboard packaging can also be collected through existing collection and recycling systems and returned to the material cycle.
Our cardboard consists mainly of recycled raw materials. After use, it can be disposed of through the designated collection systems for paper and cardboard (in Germany, e.g. waste paper or the blue bin) and recycled.
By using recycled materials and existing recycling structures, we want to help use resources as efficiently as possible.
- Anticipating requirements
New materials, technologies and regulatory developments are built into the further development of our packaging solutions at an early stage. - Highly recyclable films
Our film packaging is designed for high recyclability. Interzero analyses confirm this with top ratings. - Reducing packaging to the essentials
We reduce the weight, volume and empty space of our packaging wherever product protection and quality allow. - Consistently increasing recycled content
We already use films with up to 80 % recycled content. Our aim is to keep expanding the use of recycled plastics. - Recycled material in cardboard
Our cardboard consists mainly of recycled raw materials and can be sent for paper recycling after use. - Separate correctly. Recycle better.
With clear disposal instructions we want to help ensure that recyclable materials are collected and recycled as effectively as possible.
Our contribution – made measurable.
With its 2025 “resources SAVED” certificate, Interzero confirms our contribution to protecting the climate and resources. Recycling saved a calculated 5,047 tonnes of primary resources and 729 tonnes of greenhouse gases.

How do I dispose of materials correctly?
We take responsibility – from the sale of our products to their recycling. That is why it is important to us to raise consumer awareness of correct recycling. Only then can materials be reused and the loop be closed.

Different plastics – a problem?
Many plastic packages are made of different materials, such as the bottle body, cap and label. Modern sorting plants can recognise different types of plastic using sensors and separate them. However, complex material combinations, contamination or certain plastics can make sorting more difficult. In such cases high-quality recycling is sometimes only possible to a limited extent.
So remember: separated materials = better recycling
Example: fertiliser bottle
1. Unscrew the dosing head/cap.
2. Put the cap and the empty bottle together in the yellow bin or yellow bag (in Germany).

Made for Recycling.
Our packaging is continuously analysed by Interzero for its recyclability. The assessment is based on a method developed by the bifa Environmental Institute and Fraunhofer IVV. The result: our packaging was rated “good” to “very good” (18 and 19 out of 20 points). It therefore meets the criteria for assessing recyclability in accordance with DIN EN 13430. The rating refers to the technical suitability of the packaging for today’s recycling processes.
What does this mean for you?
Resource-conscious product design: you receive products whose packaging is designed for optimum recyclability.
Responsible action: we take responsibility for the environment and focus on long-term solutions.
Quality and nature: our products combine high quality standards with packaging solutions that also take recyclability and the use of recycled materials into account.
Interzero’s rating is based on a scientific method that assesses the recyclability of packaging according to current standards. The “very good” rating confirms that our packaging can be effectively returned to the recycling loop.

What do the numbers and letters mean?
You will find these small symbols with three arrows forming a loop almost everywhere: on yoghurt pots, plastic bottles and cardboard packaging. They tell you what material the packaging is made of and how to recycle it correctly.
The number and the material code – for example “PET” for polyethylene terephthalate or “PP” for polypropylene – indicate what a package is made of. This marking clearly identifies the packaging material and provides guidance on correct disposal.
Why is the recycling symbol important? It indicates that packaging can be collected through the designated collection and recycling systems. Modern sorting plants in Germany recognise different materials using sensor and infrared technology and can sort them accordingly. By disposing of packaging correctly through the designated collection systems, materials can be recycled. In this way raw materials can be returned to the material cycle and resources used as efficiently as possible.
Examples: HDPE = high-density polyethylene, LDPE = low-density polyethylene, PAP = corrugated cardboard or paper, PP = polypropylene
